Founded in 1884, Formby Golf Club is one of the oldest clubs on England’s Golf Coast and one of its finest. Regularly ranked high in the UK’s top 100, it is a true championship links running through ancient sand dunes and mature pine woods.
Willie Park, James Braid, Harry Colt and, more recently, Donald Steel have all shaped the 18 holes. Formby has hosted The Amateur Championship four times, the English Amateur Championship five times and the 2004 Curtis Cup, and its iconic clubhouse offers panoramic views over the course.
Formby is a short drive from Royal Birkdale, Hillside and Southport & Ainsdale, making it easy to build into a trip along the Golf Coast.
Course: 18-hole championship links. Address: Golf Road, Formby, Liverpool L37 1LQ
