Set between the medieval port of King’s Lynn and the Royal Sandringham Estate, King’s Lynn is a challenging championship course and one of the top 100 in England. It moved to its present setting in 1975 and was the first course designed by the Peter Alliss and Dave Thomas partnership.
It has matured into what golfers and golf writers consider one of the finest and most scenic inland courses in East Anglia. Visitors are welcome midweek and on Sundays, and a current handicap is required, so it is best to book ahead.
The clubhouse serves food all day, and its hearty breakfasts are a favourite with returning golfers. King’s Lynn features on our Norfolk Golf Coast tour alongside Hunstanton, Royal Cromer and Sheringham.
Course: 18-hole parkland. Address: Castle Rising Road, King’s Lynn, Norfolk PE31 6BD
