Knole Park Golf Club sits in 1,000 acres of deer park near Sevenoaks and has been open since 1924. Its 18 holes were designed by J.F. Abercromby in consultation with James Braid, and tight turf, huge trees and a rugged landscape mean the golf is never dull.
Highlights include a rollercoaster 3rd and a dramatic downhill par-4 14th, and the course is unusual in starting with a short hole. Mature trees and well-placed bunkers defending the greens make it a true “golfer’s course”, one that asks questions of better players.
Knole Park features on our Kent Golf and Wine Tour and The Abercromby Trail.
Course: 18-hole parkland. Address: Seal Hollow Road, Sevenoaks, Kent TN15 0HJ
